About Us
Re:Act (Regarding Acts 2): Large group gathering where college-age people can come and connect on a deeper, more intimate level. Through worship, prayer, messages, discussions, and activities, it provides an awesome opportunity to grow and be challenged—and also provides a safe, comfortable place for fellowship.
Location: Fridays @ 7:30pm. Check the Home Page for exact date and location.
Com.Motion (Community in Motion): Mid-size gathering of 4-5 small groups that gather together for a night of fun, food, and fellowship. Past activities have included go-kart racing, laser tag, theme parks, museums, potlucks, murder mystery parties, photo scavenger hunts, bowling, ice skating, and more! If you are new to the Edge and Re:Act or if you feel they are too large for you, come check out the next Com.Motion!
Com.Motion takes place periodical throughout the school year. Check the calendar for specific dates and details. There will be announcements at Re:Act and updates on the Website when Com.Motions are coming up.
At the Edge, there are great opportunities for college-age people to get connected into deep and meaningful relationships. Most small groups meet in someone’s apartments or in the dorms and have a time of sharing, Bible study, and prayer. A small group’s focus is on building life-on-life relationships that extend beyond the boundaries of our weekly gatherings. A small group (usually 5-10 people) provides a great avenue for building relationships and is the best way to get involved and connected.
We have a range of different small groups to meet everyone’s needs, including:
Men’s Small Group
Women’s Small Group
Freshmen Women’s Small Group
Freshmen Men’s Small Group
GiGs (Groups Investigating God) Small Group *
Small groups meet throughout the Irvine area, as well as in various locations throughout Southern California. Check out when and where our small groups meet.
If you would like to get connected to a small group, contact us!
GiGs
GiGs is a small group of people seeking answers to questions about the world we live in, ourselves, and God. Find out what Jesus said and did in the Bible, and have open, honest discussions with others who have similar questions. There is no pressure as we talk about what it looks like to follow God, process our doubts, and dialogue about different world views.
B.W.A.M. (Break With A Mission)
BWAM is our Spring short-term missions program. Every year, we send about 100+ college students to 9-10 different locations—both within the US and overseas—for week-long missions projects during their Spring Break. In past years, we have sent teams to Oakland (CA), North Pasadena (CA), Sacramento (CA), New Orleans (LA), Guatemala, Mexico, Memphis (TN), Chicago (IL), Jackson (MS), Santa Ana (CA), Los Angeles (CA), and other communities. And we have partnered with Habitat for Humanity, Casa Para Ninos, Harambee Ministries, Nehemiah Center, CCDA, John Perkins Center, and local churches/communities.
S.T.M. (Short-Term Missions)
STM is our Summer short-term missions program. Every summer, we send teams to various locations within the US and overseas for 5-6 week-long missions projects, including an additional 2 weeks of intensive training prior to departure. In the past, we have sent teams to Southeast Asia, Thailand, Guatemala, and Santa Ana.
